![](http://route66tripplanning.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/IMG_0048-Scott-McCoy-163x300.png)Welcome to **Route 66 Trip Planning**.

This is your ultimate source for planning your Route 66 road trip.

**Your Host**

My name is Scott McCoy. I began my Route 66 tourism career as the former Mayor of Pontiac, Illinois. Since then, I've become a consultant for Route 66 attractions, businesses, organizations, and communities.

I also created the [***Route 66 Ultimate Guide***](https://Route66UltimateGuide.com) app - the most used travel app for Route 66!

Now, I've created the Route 66 Trip Planning website exclusively for travelers.

Happy & Safe Travels,
